Women at Rollins College: A History explores the contributions and challenges women have faced from the College’s founding to the present, highlighting how they have shaped and influenced the institution over time.
As Student Curator, I developed a focused section on prominent female philanthropists, examining how their contributions led to the creation of many of Rollins’ most iconic buildings. I conducted extensive archival research to inform the narrative, and organized and wrote interpretive text to clearly communicate these histories. As part of the course’s development process, I also gained experience pitching exhibit concepts and ideas.
In addition, I curated, created, and designed visual materials to support the exhibit, applying public history and museum standards to ensure accessibility and engagement. Through content development, visual design, and layout planning, I produced a cohesive section that balanced historical accuracy with compelling storytelling.
