Design Statement

POTUS (Or Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive,) is an R-rated farce where seven women attempt to clean up the president's newest PR disaster. The world of the play is fast-paced and comedic, satirizing politics and the patriarchy as chaos unfolds in the White House. Through this set, I intended to capture the constant movement and action as they run through halls, offices, and bathrooms. For this project, I drew on images of the White House and D.C., using elements of the White House's most iconic rooms to create the set.
